Close Up of Philips Halogen 53W=60W Replacement

Close Up of Philips Halogen 53W=60W Replacement

Here's a close up of one of my 53 watt Philips halogen lamps. This is the first Polish made Philips halogen lamp I've seen that uses a single vertical filament inside the "Christmas light" style inner capsule. These are interesting lamps because of the different halogen capsule and the thinner silica coating to maximize lumen output.

Does the capsule looks like this: Ecosmart Ecoincandescent Clear Soft White 100W Replacement uses only 72W?

Pretty, please no more Chinese failure.

Yes, looks just like the capsule in your clear versions. It's a short, vertical filament oriented low inside the outer envelope. I've been through a bunch of these Philips halogens, so I noticed this small difference quickly

Philips DuraMax and GE Miser forever!  Classic incandescents are the best incandescents!
