Abandoned metal halide lowbay

Abandoned metal halide lowbay

There used to be several of these lighting a marketplace area. It was very nicely lit, until a few years ago when they took down all of the lights but this one and replaced them with LED panels. It is nowhere near as bright in there now. This is the only light left, and up until early 2015, it was still working but the lamp was pretty worn. Now, it has been out for the past 2 years, but if you stand right under it you can hear the ballast still buzzing trying to start the lamp. What's interesting about this is that it has the open rated (pink) lampholder but it doesn't have a protected lamp.

LED is a blight to humanity.

Keep government out of the lighting industry.

Can you rescue this light?Give it a home where someone will appreciate it.Yes,this is better than LED!!!The MH lights were replaced with LED at the convention center in town-the light quality is TERRIBLE-like being in a cave lit by candles.
