Love the green. Is this considered going green?

T12/ t17 there's a reason they made heavy magnetic ballasts

I got two of these E-pak 34 3-lamp ballasts myself, they're on the way. Anyone know how well they work with F40s?

I ran some tests on mine...(It arrived today).

Three 34w: (GE Watt-Miser 34w cool white, Pre-Ecolux) Not impressively bright, but the lamps were cold and striating.
Three 40w: (Sylvania Design 50): Pretty pathetic, but they lit just fine without any struggle. I'd even venture to say they looked worse/dimmer than two F40s on a LPF "BenchLite" style ballast.

Two 34w, one 40w: This combo seemed to work OK, brighness-wise.
Two 40w, one 34w: Pathetic but it works.
Two F32T8s, (GE EcoLux StarCoat SPX35), one F34T12: Awfully pathetic, doesn't seem like it's even working right.

One F32T8, two F34s: Works well, though the 34w are dimmer than they should be. I'm currently running it like this since I broke one of the 34w lamps during testing and I don't have 3 extras. Ballast doesn't seem excessively hot but I'm monitoring it.

One F40T12, one F34T12, one F32T8: This combination, simply put, sucked LOL. Pretty much like two F32T8s and one F40T12/F34T12.

Interesting ballasts, though they don't drive lamps as brightly as I'd hoped, though they were cold when I tested. And I know for a fact my line voltage in my house is definitely on the low side (Almost arguably lower than it should be; incandescents are noticeably dim), and some ballasts seem real sensitive to that...LIKE THESE!

Oh, another thing to add I guess: When all lamps are cold they still give that "Shimmering" effect with one F40 and two F34s installed. (It goes away once warmed up). But F40s seem to do that anyway on HPF ballasts when cold...
