Sad day at home depot. My f96t12 don't resemble these even in the cold

I wonder if this is done intentionally to discourage people from buying T12. Looks so dim compared to the rest of the display.

Yes it a joke Low ballast factor electronic ballast

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

Even with 75 watt lamps this thing sucks

T12/ t17 there's a reason they made heavy magnetic ballasts

Yeah this likely is intentional. Absolutely pathetic. TBH 60W lamps might even work better on this ballast. That sometimes is the case with LBF ballasts; the energy saving lamps appear brighter.

... a neon sign transformer can actually be used to run fluorescent lamps?

How can they make the bottom fixture that dull?
Its ridiculous, you'd get more light by setting fire to the electronic ballast!
I'm glad we don't have to put up with this nonsense in UK.

One of the local Home Depot's had a 2xF96T12 slimline fixture, & it had daylights in it Really didn't look abnormally dim or anything...certainly nothing like in this pic. I wonder if they just left an older model up as the display?

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

My local Home Depot doesn't even have anything T12 on display. They haven't in quite some time either, though they still sell the T12 fixtures. Lowe's on the other hand recently also removed its T12s from the display but they had magnetic ballasts until the end! Lamps were still super dim though.
