GE Genura

Here is a 23W GE Genura lamp. It's an induction (electrodeless) CFL intended to replace 65W floodlight. It starts out dim, but warmup is quicker than a typical spiral CFL flood. I was surprised to here that these have been around since 1994.

1100 lumens is a lot for an R30!

I like my lamps thick, my ballasts heavy, and my fixtures tough.

Wow I didn't know that induction technology has been around since the 90s!

Please check out my newly-updated website! McCann Lighting Company is where my street light collection is displayed in detail.

You can read more about them at lamptech.co.uk. As far as I know, they are still in production.
