This is on a universal ballast seems dimmer than the GE bonus line ballast next to in in the first place. But now it's getting cold here and the pg17 watt misers are not liking it not get fully bright so I put in these 185watt t12 litewhite ecnowatts for the winter. And man! way brighter but for some reason this bulb acts this way? Maybe it is new and needs some running time? I love the color though nice snow white color

I had some new F96T8 HO's that started out like that on the first run...just leave it running for a few hours & should become normal.

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

I have a pair of F40T12/WW sylvania ecologic tubes brand new that start up full brightness, then in 5 seconds, they become strongly mercury migrated and then go to normal 3 mins later, I can't figure out why, both lamps do it at the same end of the fixture and if I turn the bulbs around it still happens at the same end. Only on cold start. Eco-no-logic . other than that they are bright at 3000Lumen

What type of gear are they on? I've seen that similar with electronic ballasts.
