It actually didn't eoled I went to take it down from my stash I forgot the other end was open no tape but I noticed it's reflective and got a good look at the filiments. It's so shiny because it's never been used still has a powdery feel and my f96pg17 turret fixtures are reflected on this

T12/ t17 there's a reason they made heavy magnetic ballasts

Yes like they use talcum powder at the factory to keep these lamp flowing

It could be some kind of powder they use to make the tubes roll along a conveyors easily without scratching the glass after all no one would buy scratched tubes
