Looks like it is, same size as a normal torch bulb, the next one down is the LES lilliput from gullivers travels and is really small. The reason for that large centre contact is perhaps to give some extra space for a very small resister in the cap.

Interested in the history of electric lighting and incandescent in particular and neon glow lamps.
