I spotted this nicely decorated steet light on Triq Birbal in Attard in the Central Agglomeration Region of Malta. As I was informed it used to hold a different lamp holder made with an enameled metal reflector and an incandescent lightbulb. Remark: Malta's former biggest polluter, the Marsa Power Station near Valletta went out of use. The mainly gaspowered Delimara Station next to Marsaxlokk covers the whole electricity needs of the Islands (There is a powerline under the sea that links the system to Sicily).

LED will never beat other lamps.
This is still a CFL- and LED-free zone!
