Upgraded M250R2 pole

Upgraded M250R2 pole

I finally got my M250R2 mounted at a more appropriate height. This was actually done about a week ago. Basically, I found an extra section of 4x4 post and so I painted it to match my current setup and then just screwed it in on top of the existing pole. Then I took off the yardblaster arm from the old setup and bent the metal parts so they could be installed at an angle on the post (that way it lights up more of the yard and not just the sidewalk). It's now almost 12 feet up instead of barely cutting 7 like it was before, which is a much better mounting height IMO. Once I'm able to get one of those new 2600 lumen LED filament lamps, I'm going to put it in my OV-15 and maybe replace the M250R2. I don't want to have a heavy ballast in the OV-15 because it's a lot heavier than this and I don't want to push the limits of the arm even though it is now reinforced.

Cool! I like that you have a blue "5" NEMA tag on the light too for an authentic look

Looking good from up there How did you manage to get the blue 5 NEMA tag, was it custom?

Thanks! I made the NEMA tag on a Silhouette vinyl cutter at a library makerspace. I don't remember where I got the pattern for it from, I think it came in a PDF of a bunch of different tags I found on here a while back.
