New pole put up yesterday after a car clipped the old one. They didn't even transfer the old light (the old one was a 150w "equivalent" and the new one is a 100w replacement.

Might be a lower wattage because GE improved their lumens per watt? How long ago was the old fixture installed? Stupid of them not to transfer the light and arm over. That old pole would look great in my backyard. Perfect height at around 20-25ft tall.

The old one was installed sometime this past January when they LED-ed my area. And yea, I'd like to have the old pole too, but there's a huge crack on the other side and a chunk of it missing since it was hit by a car.

I wonder why they didn't remove the old pole. It's not like there's any phone lines the phone company has to come transfer.

Yea, they do that around here. Remove half of an old pole, put the new one next to it, and leave the half of the old one up. No idea why but there are poles that were replaced years ago and still have parts of the old one next to it.
