Westinghouse OV-15, 250w mercury vapor

Picked this up from a Craigslist listing today. I'm not going to be keeping it, it's getting shipped to member WestinghouseCeramlux as soon as I get the chance. It's really nice and quiet, and the lamp it included, a Sylvania /DX clearband, doesn't seem to have too much use as it is very bright. The ballast is an HX-NPF 120v only. The kitty you see in the corner is Leo. We got him recently and he is one of the nicest cats I have ever had. This was supposed to be a picture of just the light but he kind of came up and photobombed. and yes, I made sure to keep him away from the live terminals lol.

Looks like Leo likes MV.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

what a beautiful cat!

...oh and the light is nice too. The slipfitter is quite interesting looking on those old side-bolt OV-15s.

Please check out my newly-updated website! McCann Lighting Company is where my street light collection is displayed in detail.

Yeah it's odd. Seems in general, lighting enthusiasts are "cat people" rather than "dog people". Don't see many dogs featured on here lol.
