GE Soft White LED classic glass bulb - lit

GE Soft White LED classic glass bulb - lit

Part of a pack of 4. It works well and has a good light spread. Would be near impossible for the casual person to tell its LED. It even has the etching on the top of the bulb where it should be. The only downside is these are not dimmable. Time will tell how these will last

I despise LED in general because they are mostly cheap throw away units, but bulbs like these get my approval and recommendation.... because they keep the classic appearance and function and are fully compatible with existing lights keeping the lights serviceable as they always were. If you go LED, this is how you do it.

I bought an 8 pack of these last year when we moved into our new house. They were in the GE classic package on the bargain table at Lowes. They are the 60W version and have a lower output of 610 lumens, the same as the old 50A incandescent. They are not dimmable. I do like them as a non-LED fan but am disappointed with the low lumen output. The Walmart 60W counterpart is much brighter, same as a 60W incandescent but they have that opaque plastic sheath above the base. So far, I have not had any failures.

Preheat and T-12 fluorescents forever! Down with LED's and instant start T-8 fluorescents.

Yeah i noticed it says on the box the lumens are a little less. Mine are 760 Lumens and a real 60w is 840, but its not really noticeable. I got them to have more brightness than 40w lamps

The clear 60w= Walmart ones lacked the plastic collar. I'd like to get more of these in the "Relax" version.
