That's a scene I'd love to have witnessed. However, I have seen linear lights in Europe although the wattages were lower and the lights sparsely placed. These would probably have been very bright, if a little overly perhaps.

Judging by the scene around them, I would have to say that this is just after they were installed in 1957. They stood there for close to 40 years.

Streetlights are most often overlooked by society as we go about in life. I have had an interest and fascination for them since I was very little. I love drawing detailed city-scapes and the streetlights are my signature. They always play an important role in my drawings. Like Bob Ross' clouds.
