Awesome 4x slimline fixtures!

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

That is a lot of load on the little garage door opener relay, which is probably rated for no more than 2x75 lamps. Nice fixtures though!

Preheat Fluorescents forever!
I love diesel engines, rural/farm life and vintage lighting!

That's a good looking setup. Nice touch on the F20T12 setup.

Keep government out of the lighting industry.

The F20T12 setup is cool but it seems like it would eat a lot of lamps.

I like my lamps thick, my ballasts heavy, and my fixtures tough.

I may do that with my garage door opener but with a single F40 strip I need to put to use.

I had done it, but with a 2-lamp strip (F14/F15) never replaced either lamp, and it was in use for a few years (got disconnected (& left on the ceiling) when the opener itself needed replacement)
