This lamp is made for the North American market. 52 to 55 is the nominal operational voltage for 35 to 150W HPS (SON) lamps.

Your mission - should you choose to except it - is to save unique and rare HID lighting before it's all scrapped.

Philips and sometimes Sylvania would put the voltage on their lamp etches. Don't see the point though...
