Nice lamps! Even though the sleeves do not state it, these still use the Lifeguard electrodes. Philips continued to use them for a short time even after dropping the name. Since these are from 1989, they would have been made one year after Philips stopped using the Lifeguard name, but 3 years before they started using regular electrodes.

Likely so, the seller told me the reason for the inventory error was because they sold a lot faster than he expected.
