New & Old

So i have a cheap Lithonia 100w MH yard light floating around for a while now and recently i decided i wanted it to be 175w MV, so i got a 1" by 3/8" thick steel (a bit thicker then what i needed but it was all that Home Cheapo had at the time), so i cut the bar down to size and i made a few small mistakes since it was my first time working with metal (mostly measurement errors i was able to salvage) so the thing may not look as good as it could of but it works.

To the left is my new gear tray, and to the right is the old one with an undersized ballast (made by Xiamen FHJ Lighting Electric Co. for anyone who might be curious).

Looks good !

Is this gear tray intended for a NEMA-like fixture with screw in optic bucket ?

I assume this is a HX ballast, but if it is CWA, how do you intend on mounting the cap ?

The gear tray i made is designed for a fairly cheap lithonia yard light i have (very similar to this one).

The ballast is an HX type ballast.

Old lighting is, and will always be, the best lighting.
