thanks !! MissRiaElaine ! Europe was very late in the development of fluorescent lamps because of the second war ,the 1940s fluorescent tubes osram and Philips made in europe are very rare to find

In photos and footage from the trials I already found the soft light remarkable but would not have guessed that it came from fluorescents... Apparently they had been installed especially for filming/photography.

In fact I always look out in pre-1950 photos/footage for evidence of fluorescent lighting. Until now I could not spot any. It seems that it was before 1950 in Europe really rare.
