Do you use American tubes in it? Or have you replaced the ballast (and wiring?) for use with European lamps?

I unfortunately had to replace the original ballasts ,the ballasts heats up a lot with a big leak of tar and gives off a burning smell I have them replaced by a pair of GE Multi-Volt ProLine T12 Electronic Program / Rapid Start Ballast 74472 and I use sylvania standard F20W/129 RS warm white fluorescent bulbs
