Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

Here some info I found on this since it's been identified. I wanted to see what it looked like illuminated, since I didn't realize the bottom was transparent. Interestingly, it also seem to use a remote control.

The remote controller indeed is interesting. This way you can control lantern brightness (and some other features?) without opening it.
