@Alex, what happened to yours? I have one as well, in use in one of my kitchen fixtures, since I've
been dodging passed potential evictions left and right. Id rather keep that ballast in that fixture
(and an 87% power factor magnetic rapid start ballast in the other fixture) if I get evicted, instead
of keeping my quality ballasts in those fixtures.
But anyways, did that ballast burn out?

Interests
1. Motorcycles, Women, and Lighting (especially fluorescent)
2. Weighting/staying extremely athletic
3. Severe Thunderstorms of all kinds
4. Food and drinks. So gimme them bbq ribs
Yep
Lighting has been a passion of mine since I was born. I consider everyone on LG to be a friend

These things are horrible. I once replaced 1 of the 2 Advance R-2S40-1-TP magnetic ballasts in a 4 lamp fixture. One hour after I turned the power back on (the fixture and new ballast had run before and worked) I turned on the switch and the magnetic ballast fired right up. I knew the other ballast was getting power because I could hear the HF squeal coming from it. I then replaced both ballasts and still have the magnetic ballasts and the case from the electronic ballast to this day.

Don't be fooLED, T8 IS the worst thing to do to a magnetic T12 fixture.

Looks like the poor thing has taken some abuse?? what did you throw it off the roof and then leave it laying around outside for a couple years??

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

@xmaslightguy, he probably threw it off the roof when it crapped out.

I have the 3 lamp version of this ballast, i put it into a cheap 2 lamp shoplight because it was all i had on hand at the time and so far, it's been 4 months and it's still working.

Old lighting is, and will always be, the best lighting.

I beat ithe with a hammer because it wouldn't work on some of my fixture but the freaking thing still works.
