Could the "80-01-08" on the flap at the top mean January 8th, 1980? The device inside is a snap switch and 2 prong outlet combination.

Hmm, I think that's part of a UPC code? Most switches don't have date codes but GE did for a short while.

My 10 Leviton snap switches have the code 7-69, which I assume stands for July 1969 on the inner flaps of their boxes. The inner flaps of this box do not say anything except for the number 3.

Don't be fooLED, T8 IS the worst thing to do to a magnetic T12 fixture.

Yeah, my Leviton duplex outlet box (sadly, no outlet) has a stamp of "12073" which translates to 120th day of 1973.
