The lamps for the fixture that I converted from F40 to slimline have arrived in the mail today. This thing works great! Pretty bright too! They’re Philips Alto Cool Whites.

That’s right I love the “thump” sound that Slimlines make when they first come on!

I think so, do the old Halophosphates give off a greanish/yellowish tint? I do like the color of these!

Cool to see. Does the one lamp lag slightly when you turn it on or do they both come up at the same time?

Yes it does, it often rectifies for a second before it fully lights. I hope this is normal. The ballast is an NOS Advance from April, 2005.

Me too! I have some F30 and F20 Altos that are also Halophosphate, My F96 Slimline lamps and F40s are pinkish in comparison. I’m assuming they use a different phosphor? They’re Cool White Surpremes. Do you know what phosphor is used in them?
