Ahh but the question is, can you light it up at full brightness/wattage...?
I've been on this site for a little over 8 years... 5,000 watts just might be the highest wattage I've ever heard of on this site so far.

Interests:
1. Motorcycles, cars, Women, and Lighting (especially fluorescent)
2. Weightlifting/staying extremely athletic
3. Severe Thunderstorms of all kinds
4. Food and drinks. So gimme them bbq ribs
Lighting has ALWAYS been a passion of mine. I consider everyone on here to be a friend

Hi . this site if you look good has more power in incandescents. even I have twice as much power as this but I have not yet uploaded them. I only collect them for pleasure. the lamp can work at full capacity but better with a variable transformer. for the moment I get lamps. Later I would like a good transformer.

Now that I think about it, I might've seen a 10,000 watt incandescent lamp on this site somewhere at some point in time. Definitely not the highest incandescent lamp I've ever heard of though... not after the video YouTube user Photonicinduction posted... he lit up a 20,000 watt incandescent lamp.

1. Motorcycles, cars, Women, and Lighting (especially fluorescent)
2. Weightlifting/staying extremely athletic
3. Severe Thunderstorms of all kinds
4. Food and drinks. So gimme them bbq ribs

Photonicinduction to light a 20 kw halogen. It is more powerful but not so great. Also getting that lamp is easy but it is very expensive. They are sold on eBay UK. Getting old big copies is not very easy. Anyway, it's a pretty lamp.

Very nice, the lamp is great too!
Does your girlfriend share your interest in lamps?

I'm always interested in exchanging lamps - message me to see what we can do! Smiley

The first lamp that caught my attention, was the basement light at my grandma's house. It was an F34T12 Philips lamp of some kind...
not Alto... and Halophosphate Warm White. (Found this out back in 2008 when me and my family visited Grandma one last time) The fixture it was in,
was a Preheat fixture. I later discovered Rapid Start fluorescent when I was in preschool. After that, my lighting interest skyrocketed... at just
3 years old.
So yeah this is a passion of mine that will never die. I'm also a fan of Incandescent, Tungsten and Halogen as well. Especially higher wattage lamps.

Interests:
1. Motorcycles, cars, Women, and Lighting (especially fluorescent)
2. Weightlifting/staying extremely athletic
3. Severe Thunderstorms of all kinds
4. Food and drinks. So gimme them bbq ribs

I thought my 1500 watt lamp was big.

Keep government out of the lighting industry.

Nice catch.
But there are bigger ones.
I have a 10kW lamp my self, made by Philips including the original socket. (Projector lamp)
But some years ago I met a guy who had a 20kW lamp. Also a Philips projector lamp
And there are still bigger ones. I heard about a lighthouse lamp of 38kW, but I have never seen such a big lamp in real.

I have 3 lamps of 10 kw. that I have not yet uploaded because of that I say it is my second biggest lamp with zocalo. anyway, lamps are not easy to find. or at least today. I'm sure that the collection started more than 10 years ago would have 3 times more bulbs. Anyway, little by little . and remember for everything always open something superior.
