You could use manual focus to get the focus better like I do with my camera.

Philips CDM-TD 942 probably 150W. I hate that they didn't made an Elite version for this lamp with round arctube, but only for their single ended lamps. This causes me to prefer Osram HCI-TS, as these have round arctube. Round arctube lasts longer, less likelihood to explode, faster run-up and hot restrike.
