The Finned M-1000 at Start Up With the GE 1000 w /C Bonus Line

The Finned M-1000 at Start Up With the GE 1000 w /C Bonus Line

At startup the /C bonus line look almost like a daylight CFL but gradually shifts to the standard yellowish tint of a /C lamp as it runs up to full brightness.

I decided to use the A/E P/C on this as it's a dayburner anyway (lighting strike !) Besides, it matches the color of the rest of the light ! At some time I'll have to swap out the P/C socket as the wires are too short to hook up without extending them . Besides, I just found a GE P/C socket in some of my "stuff" with 28" leads !

Thanks ! I'm old enough to remember seeing streets lit with MV and incandescent. Too bad I didn't know anything about them then .

Tim, did you cause a brown out in Grovetucky when you started it?
Luminaire looks good!

Your mission - should you choose to accept it - is to save unique and rare HID lighting before it's all scrapped.

Looking good with a Bonus line /C. I usually use the fluorescent preset white balance if I'm taking a picture of a lit MV fixture with a camera. With a phone, I usually just go for auto.
