Thanks, do you know If phillips make a 700? I don't think they did, I know westy quit making them in the early 80's so other than a 700w ITT that should be all the brands

Philips made 700W until a couple of years ago, but I think only ever in the European ED bulbs and not sold in North America.

Are 700w european spec mercury lamps still made? I saw a video a few years ago (I think it was from Poland) with a 700w streetlight that had a modern looking Venture lamp.

Yes they are still produced in China by Philips, but since April 2015 they are no longer legal to be placed on the market in Europe.

EYE still makes 700w mercs for sale in the USA and abroad where they are legal and in demand.

May all the great lighting technologies have their place in history.

They do? I have tried finding them for a while but no luck. They aren't even listed on their merc catalog.

Woah I could have sworn those weren't there when I last looked at the mercury spec sheets last year or so. It also looks like they offer the clear 75w mercs again. I wonder if they had discontinued them but later resumed production or something. Knowing them (and how they state that "Mercury lamps are becoming harder and harder to find. EYE Lighting still offers a full line of Mercury replacement lamps." on their site), it wouldn't surprise me if it's the case. Now the tricky part is finding a distributor that carries them. Either way it's nice knowing they are still available so vintage or NOS lamps dont have to be used.

Yeah I know, the seller of the 75ws is selling 4 packs and one 4 pack of 50w. I got one of the 50w 4-packs last summer as a birthday present. I really like them. I do need to get a 75w lamp since I have a 75w postline ballast, but I don't need 4.
