Green 400w PSMH OVX On A Green Davit Pole

Green 400w PSMH OVX On A Green Davit Pole

Click to view full size image

These were installed about 10 years or so ago . For 400w PSMH they're NOT very bright! For some strange reason the arms are much longer on the street sections (This light+pole is at an intersection) the lights not in intersections have arms that are about 4' longer! (they look strange!) Once you go east past I-270, the lights and poles change to brown with PSMH AEL 125's. All of the AEL replacements (from knockdowns/bad ballasts ETC.) are HPS which looks stupid !

I can't imagine that 400w metal halide lamps would be too happy in an OVX considering the heat buildup that happens. 400w PSMH is normally pretty bright.

Any machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough.

I'd GUESS these have the ED-28 cram lamps in them. I never realized these were 400w 'till today . I always thought they were 250w until I actually read the NEMA tag while in a parking lot ! (You can't read the tag from the street thanks to the sharp angle of the door , all you can make out is the RED/WHITE colors !)
