These are at my local Menards, they appear to be standard 100w Incandescents
I didn't want to open the package as it's glued closed.
They don't appear to be LED !

I see regular incandescents going for big bucks on eBay. Crazy in my opinion.

Little bit pricey on that 4 pack.

Long live the great old 20th century quality in electrical & lighting products!

Nice to see these are still on shelves. $7.99 for a 4-pack of incandescents, that's way too high! I saw a bunch 8-packs of Sylvania 100 watt bulbs at my local ReStore a few weeks ago for just $4.00 each. I bought one 8-pack

These look like they are made by Sylvania, based on the packaging style.

Philips DuraMax and GE Miser forever!  Classic incandescents are the best incandescents! Stop the lamp bans!

If they would'a been cheaper, WAY CHEAPER, I would'a considered buying a pack just to see if they were any good but I have really no need for them anyway

Since it getting hard to find incandescent, I guess they figured they could charge $7.99.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

The only problem is the LED equivalent is HALF the price and uses only 12 watts

Yeah LEDs have improved to the point where I'd actually rather use them instead of incandescent lamps. They just use too much power and produce too much heat IMO. The only non-appliance place in a house I'd still use an incandescent is in an attic, since the heat is intense up there, which is detrimental to LEDs. Even in applications where the light is only used for a few minutes a day (or even a week!) LED bulbs can be bought so cheap it's literally always the cheapest option. A place near me was selling 4-packs of LEDs (40, 60, 75, or 100W=) for $2.99/pack. And they were rebating you 100% in store credit, so they were literally giving the bulbs away for free. That's how I converted my great-aunts house and my grandma's house to LED. The store is Ocean State Job Lot and the promotion was one of their "Crazy Deals".

But yeah, I use filament LEDs where the bulb is visible and the regular snow cone LEDs in enclosed/shielded fixtures.

Menards must have stocked up on regular incandescent lamps prior to the ban. It doesn't look like my store has 100W, but they do have a full end cap stacked up with GE 60W soft white. Inventory shows 699 four-packs available.

I'm pretty sure there is actually no enforcement on the lamp bans so I guess they can be imported on the semi-black market? Lol

I know a few people have come across export-only lamps in stores. I suspect that while these may be new to the shelf, they've probably been sitting in a warehouse for the last eight years. It's not a brand I'm familiar with, but I see they're made in USA. I suspect most "black market" lamps will either be labeled for export only or imported.

Agreed. I dont think any incandescent lamps are being made in the USA anymore, or if they are they're being shipped out of the country. The packaging looks similar to the sylvania packages, as far as the construction of the carton itself.

Interestingly, I've heard the current presidential administration may relax the efficiency standards, so who knows, we may see the standard 40-100 watt bulbs again. Maybe F40CWs as well?
