I guess they really cared about keeping those capacitors cool.

Please check out my newly-updated website! McCann Lighting Company is where my street light collection is displayed in detail.

Probably would have been even better,(and even cooler looking) if they would have put fins on this like the Wide-Lite has !

That's only one style of the OV 50 fin. The other is the straight boxy version.

I didn't know they made more than one style of fin for the OV-50 ! . You wouldn't happen to have a picture of one by any chance ?

BTW, I really enjoyed looking at your "Buffalo Streetlights" album ,it brought back a lot of memories ! My mom's family was from S. Buffalo! I distinctly remember all the OV-20's that used to be along the Niagara river on I-190. All those old streetlights are what "lit" my interest in all of this . My grand parent's street (Pries Ave.) was lit by a mixture of M-250's and 175 Unistyles.

Lots of Safeway Grocery stores here in my area had those Fixtures with the big capacitor lumps on the top, pretty much all of them were 1000 mercs.

I would assume they're all gone now ?
