At least these were common in Finland. The most common color is brass, but this is copper. An angel-shaped version was also available.

The box says Ab Star Trading S-512 01 Svenljunga, Sweden. I don't know is it the manufacturer or some importer only.

Star Trading is a Swedish import company. They have become very big in recent years, you can find them in most stores. They design and import a lot of christmas lights.

This metal model used to be very common in Sweden in the 70's. Still common today but now most are made of paper.

I think these metal stars are best due to great contrast and sharp light distribution since metal only let out light from holes. I have similar one in my kitchen window with 15W SOL "golf ball" lamp.

That has a quality feel to it. Thanks for information.

Yes, it has sharp light distribution. This 11W CFL is so powerful for this use.

You should upgrade to a clear incandescent lamp for the right light! 25W will give you the perfect light and just that extra heat needed when its cold outside.

Before, a incandescent lamp was used. But for some reason they didn't last long.
