Elstein Ceramic heater lamps

Ebay find, for minimum bid. They were listed as light bulbs but after a bit of digging I found an internet site that sells the modern equivalent (still by Elstein) markets them as heaters that can be used in normal light sockets. Some other sites market them for looking after reptiles and birds. I haven't tested them yet but they should get quite hot. I wonder how old these are, they look quite old.

Neat a Edison based heater. There is a company called Process Heating Company that sells similar things but the heater wire is exposed and not enclosed like this example from LAllenLighting

Also from the thumbnail picture I though it was an L*D lamp (I know I am going to get slapped by Ria sox35 for saying that)
