This is a very nice and interesting lamp.
To know that it was made as recently as 1984 is incredible for such a design.
I am enjoying looking through the superb lamps in your gallery.

My main area of interest is vintage fluorescent and mercury lamps. Always interested in doing lamp trades - just let me know! Smiley

Judging by the effect water had on the lamp, I would guess that it is frosted on the outside. How unusual.
