Voltec 70w High Pressure Sodium Security Light

Voltec 70w High Pressure Sodium Security Light

This is a Voltec 70w HPS security light that I purchased from Rural King at the Crystal River Mall in Florida over a year ago. They had it on clearance probably getting ready to replace these wonderful HID fixtures with those overpriced, deplorable LED fixtures which are a disgrace to security lights everywhere. UGH!!! But anyways, this fixture came with one of those Polar Lites bulbs like the Heath-Zenith fixtures, and I believe they come with the Designers Edge ones as well. The photocell is made by LongJoin. The ballast and igniter are made by Caster.

Kinda looks like a Cooper or a Regent in disguise. Despite these being cheap junk compared to older NEMAs, I myself bought several HID blaster lights within the last year just to have around.

The reflector is the same one that comes with the Lithonia fixtures, but the housing does look similar to a Cooper/Regent fixture.

Yesh, it does look like a Lithonia refractor, like the ones I have seen at Home Depot and Lowes.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.
