Mercury Street Lighting in 2019 (Really Crappy Shot)

Mercury Street Lighting in 2019 (Really Crappy Shot)

This is on the street where my house is. The entire road is still lit up with DX mercury lamps, which are probably 400w. I apologize for the poor quality photo; phone cameras can’t get good night shots from a distance. They’re not quite as green as on camera, but they are pretty dim now, since the lamps were last changed about 10 years ago. In a different part of the neighborhood, two were changed out for LEDs, though it was probably because the ballasts failed. Some of them are quite loud at this point.

At least your streetlights are still alive with Mercury Vapor bulbs

In my area, they were slowly phase out. One in my neighborhood area switched to HPS and a few up north of East Cobb area has been killed of with LEDs streetlights

Pretty, please no more Chinese failure.
