On the GFCI? I don't know what you mean by mounting strap though. Sorry.

It was cut off by the previous owner of it (not the factory).

Good quality things are awesome. Cheaply made things are not.

This looks like stuff from Loma Linda RS. They do that a lot, writing prices with marking pens. I've seen it on a lot of things there some things it just lowered the value. I've told them about it, but they're still doing it.

But does Goo Gone work wonders in damaging Bakelite on snap or mercury switches?

I've never used it on switches or plugs. Just metal. I've never had it harm anything but it says to thoroughly wash the item with soap and water once the adhesive is removed
