This is a light I received from Mike (Streetlight98) and mounted it on the second floor of my shop. It has this large base bulb in it. Thanks Mike.

Not if Louie has anything to do with it...

Looks good up there! And yes, this is a Westinghouse explosion-proof incandescent light from my grandpa's spray room. Has the old "W" logo so it's pre-1960. It appeared to have been "rigged" into place at my grandpa's shop so the previous owners might have installed them used. They already existed when he bought the place in 1970. He had given up cleaning the globes constantly though, at they got covered in spray mist. Took hours of scrubbing to get these globes crystal clear again!

Nice light! I wonder whats the maximum wattage it's rated for. Looks like it could probably handle a 200w or even 300w lamp.

These lights are nice. I got one from Mike as well. I have yet to wire it in somewhere right now it just hangs on my fixture display. I put a BT-37 merc in it.

Very cool light! Imagine this with a remote ballasted mercury vapor in it.

I like all kinds of lighting and electrical, except for LED, which I classify as a disease.

Yeah I had three total but only wanted one. Nice lights for sure. Didnt realize a 400w MV lamp fits inside one of these! An HID retrofit would look nice. Perhaps 175w MH/MV.
