Shop circuit breaker box.

Shop circuit breaker box.

This is the circuit breaker box in my shop. This is my first time taking the cover off since I bought the house. I took the cover off to add a circuit breaker for more lights. There is also a sub panel on the second floor, which is what the 100 amp breaker is for.

Nice. FYI the only brand breakers you should be using in this are Eaton breakers, as they bought out Cutler-Hammer (who bought Bryant). The 100A siemens and 15A Square D breakers are not listed for that panel.

They might fit alright and never give you trouble, but in the event an electrical fire happens the insurance company tends to red flag it.

I see there are two types, BR and CH. Which should I get? I'm wondering about the sub panel box on the second floor too, as that has had breakers added too it as well by the previous owner and me.

The type you linked, the BR, is the correct style.
