This is a 250 watt hps ballast for my nos GE M-400A . IT IS A MONSTER and quite heavy too.

This Powerdoor looks way different than the one on my M-400 a2 FCO. My M-400 a2 FCO is more like your M-400 A2 one. Except my M-400 a2 has the ballast mounted directly to the housing using three screws.

Compared to your M-400 A, Not a plug in ignitor, no paper on the ballast, ballast is on a bracket, and the place where you plug in is on a wire, and not in the powerdoor.

But other than that, very similar.
