Hmm. I wonder what Philips is doing to give it it's "long life" rating. Adding some extra mercury? stronger cathodes? How well does it light up? All the recent Philips I've gotten (cases of em) start up dim, always. But put out good light after warming up.

The more you hate the LED movement, the stronger it becomes.

Not sure what they did to give it a long life rating, mine do start up dim as well but are nice and bright once warmed up.

The brighter the better.
