Nice! A little beat up it sounds like but overall excellent condition and a rare light! these were never used here, although the smaller Unistyle was used here in 100 and 175W in the 1960s.

To resist is to piss in the wind, anyone who does will end up smelling.

The only other place I've ever seen one was on LG, I don't exactly remember WHERE in Toledo this mall was. I do remember it was across from a mexican restaurant we were having lunch at on the north/ northeast side of town

Vintage HID Lamp & Luminaire Collector

These unistyle-400's were used to light up the arterial streets in my hometown when I was a kid in the 70's up until they were replaced with Westinghouse's 4th gen OV-25, 200W HPS luminaires in the spring of '83.

I remember this refractor on eBay and even thought about purchasing it...glad you have it.

Did you buy this luminaire on eBay? I remember a while back someone selling one of these with a bullet hole, and a missing refractor and P/C socket. Anyway, glad you could save it.

Your mission - should you choose to except it - is to save unique and rare HID lighting before it's all scrapped.

These are them ! I watched the fixture for months and eventually the seller cut the price in half and I bought it! The refractor I bought as soon as I saw it!

Thanks, it now has a CORRECT! Line Material Corp. refractor (with a small crack) Thanks Shaun !!!
Truthfully, the 2 refractors look almost identical! You have to really look close to tell them apart.
