This lamp is dimmable, being cold cathode they do not have a heater like normal CFLs have. These turned up but cannot remember where, told these were fairly rare by Alex I had no idea.

I remember CCFLs being a thing about a decade ago, but I feel like LED rendered the fledgeling technology obsolete pretty quickly.

Got these I think as a job lot, never see these now.

Interested in the history of electric lighting and incandescent in particular and neon glow lamps.
