One Mercury Vapor bulb lasted from as far as I can remember from the mid 1980s until a few years ago, by the end it was just a dull green. Apparently the ballast is finally what went and they were missing new HPS fixtures on the truck, so they installed an HPS ballast in the old fixture

GE Powr-Bracket. Good that they retrofit it. Now the ballast needs to die and they need to not have fixtures on the truck so they can retrofit it with LED and not replace it!

Power provider: Southern California Edison (SCE)

-Date decoder of some US lamps 1960-present.
-Switch and receptacle collector.
-I'll save any vintage lamp! Smiley

in the 1970's we put up one of these in a 400 merc on our farm, mounted on a 35 ft wood pole, with a brand new bulb ($40 for a bulb in 1977 was a lot of money at the country hardware store,I remember my dad grumbling about that). That Fixture sure did a fantastic job for years!

I love these with that big refractor. I'd like to get one someday.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.
