These are probably mid 80s? They have the cool diffuser caps to make the 'midget' lights looks bigger...this is a quality kit that even includes extra bulbs with replacement caps and fuses.

I remember these in the early 90s. I still have a few strings of them (clear and multi colored). I think the goal was imitate the old fashioned C-6 lights of the 40s.

My family had these decades ago too...what i remember is finding the little diffuser caps still on the carpet in hard to reach areas well after Christmas and after the tree was taken down!

This packaging was from late 90's, and is likely made in China. These are really nice lights! I had some strings of these (multicolor) in the 90's
