Just make damn sure the neutral of the mains in on the shell of the base if you light it up. Is it true that in Spain the two pin plugs can be removed, turned over and replaced swapping active and neutral....such a plug connected to an E40 socket (with this lamp in it) is potentially lethal!

If you have kids Daniel, be very mindful of this!

The only time I got it right across the heart, ...arm, chest, arm.... was from an incorrectly polarized E40 socket!

Hi . I do not know if I understand well. the base is dangerous because it is not isolated. You are right if the pole that has current communicates can give you a discharge. This lamp works perfectly. thanks for the warning . I only try the lamps and I do not turn them on. I want my lamps as new as possible. I do not like very worn lamps. I do not like them coming to eol.

I agree Daniel, I prefer lamps in as good a condition as possible...but I will take E.O.L. if it is the only example of a rare one I can find.

Daniel...no need to apologize for the "delay" in your reply!

Lighthouse lamps.....now there's a varied range of lamps!

I know the type you are after though...the BIG Philips ones like the 6074S, 6096S, 6190K, 6036G, and 6099K.

Sei o tipo que estás despois ... os GRANDES Philips como os 6074S, 6096S, 6190K, 6036G e 6099K.

Some of these are three phase. The 6074S is the biggest (380mm dia., 542mm tall) 10Kw, 100v.

Algunhas destas son tres fases. O 6074S é o maior (dia. 380 milímetros, 542 milímetros de alto) 10KW, 100 v.

The issue with finding these is that so few were ever used, and thus so few were ever made....mostly by hand. I recall seeing a picture of Frits Philips in his office in Eindhoven...he had a 6074S on his desk as a show piece.

There are lots of smaller and less salubrious lighthouse lamps like the class B1 or things like the double-jacket halogen Q1000T20BP.

Some HID lamps were used in lighthouses too.

Algúns usáronse lámpadas HID tamén nos faros.

Here's what you are looking for... (Sadly, sold already!)

Aquí está o que buscas ... (Desafortunadamente, xa vendeu!)

Liking that heavy duty skirted base on the 1500w bulb, quite an size comparison compared to the smaller bulb!

Long live the great old 20th century quality in electrical & lighting products!

Hi all . wow very good information. now that you say philips series g I have some copies in 1500w. It has the filament concentrated in between. I imagine that rarely does any sale for sale. unfortunately the rarest lamps are sometimes in bad sellers.
Yes, the bulb is big. I like you to appreciate these examples. The few who have found are on their way to Eol. possibly it's from the 50's. I hope to find some more
