Cool, this lamp is a bit old (2010) and it work propenly, i tried with the kitcken lighter. In a future, I will try with the lighter, or with tje ballast .

I don't know much more, why you can't use magnetic ballast. 55W PL-L ratings are 101V, 550mA. This current is some "optimum" value.
