During lamp life, the voltage of HPS lamps, rises. Eventually it exceeds the voltage that the ballast can hold the lamp stable, and the lamp extinguishes. The lamp cools down, and its starting voltage gets lower and lower, until the point that it is sufficiently low that the ignitor can strike a big discharge.

Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.
