The smashed Siteco lantern shown some time ago (here, here and here) has been replaced. Note the amount of snow, it's quite unusual here at mid march.

Siteco Runde (Round).

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

If these trees are often collapse during storms, so that the new lantern is also in danger from them, so I think that they could install it on a safer location, or to
get rid of this hazard, by cutting the trees that are the closest to the road.
The older lantern was knocked by these trees.
However how the new lantern is a Runde? I don't see this lantern in Siteco online catalog.

@dor123: well it's not a so tragic situation, sometimes a tree drops on storms but not so often, and not necessarily the tree which drops it's near a road.

That road is quite narrow, the photo doesn't render clearly the idea of how narrow is, and even placing the lanterns on the other road's side doesn't protect them completely from being hit by falling trees.

Cutting the trees near the road and keeping to prevent them to grow again will cost more than replacing the occasional lantern damaged by falling trees, which as stated it's not a so frequent event, otherwise here in southern Switzerland should see everyday utilities changing damaged lanterns, as our territory, except the 5 major urban centers (Chiasso/Mendrisio, Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno, Biasca) which are still quite small, it's prevalently wooded with small villages surrounded by woods.

@mima:
eheh, I will advise you if the lantern will be smashed again .

@dor123:
two trees are already dropped here(at the same time), I don't think that another will drop exactly over the lantern. It doesn't happen very often that a tree collapse on this road.
