Norelco H39KC-175/DX, deluxe mercury vapor lamp.
A hardware store that I would frequent in my growing up years, sold this very lamp with the neat graphic designs on the box. I've always wanted to find one to add to my collection. After 30 plus years I finally found one on eBay! It even still has the original price tag from Kmart, which sold for $9.84.

Although the lamp can be used in a variety of dusk to dawn security fixtures, we strongly recommend it be used in a NEMA or equivalent fixture.

Nice find! I have the very fixture this might have been supplied with, although I stuck a Sylvania Unalux in, also an era-appropriate lamp.

The lamps in these boxes were sold as replacements...that's how I remember them back in the day.

Your mission - should you choose to except it - is to save unique and rare HID lighting before it's all scrapped.

Never saw clear ones come this way. The lamp code H39KC-175/DX is printed on the top of the box.
